Beyond the Dreamcatcher Principal Photography Wrapped!

July 14, 2015 at 11:21 AM / by

I never thought this day would come.  In fact, I thought I’d be dead before finishing this film.  The odds were against us.  The weather was against us.  On February 2, 2015 we were just kids with a dream.  On July 12, 2015, we drank champagne and celebrated the greatest accomplishment of our lives. Congratulations to us all!

Getting a feature film in the can is a tall task, no matter who you are or how much power you have.  It takes commitment, passion, perseverance, and a positive attitude, and not just on the part of the director.  A film production can only work when other members of the team exude these qualities and believe wholeheartedly in the cause.  Despite the crew only working for food, under some incredibly cold, hot, tense, and cramped circumstances, I never heard one complaint.  Even when we shot for 14 hours or more, everyone remained committed and passionate.  That’s friendship.

I am lucky to be living my childhood dream of being a filmmaker.  I am BLESSED to be able to do it while surrounding myself with the friends I care most about in the world.  This film is a product of love.  Thank you to everyone who stayed up late, kicked ass, and put up with my bullshit without one word of complaint.  Thank you all for making my dream come true.

Love,
Dan

P.S.: Enjoy some photos & videos from the set, taken throughout the production by various members of the crew.
