In an unexpected turn of events, A Drop of Water has won the Providence Underground Film Festival Best Horror Film Award! The Providence Underground Film Festival is a sidebar of the Rhode Island International Film Festival that focuses on provocative, bizarre, genre-bending, and micro-budget films.

A Drop of Water made its festival premiere at the Rhode Island International Horror Film Festival on Friday, October 24th, as part of the “Things That Go Bump in the Night” short film program.

A Drop of Water has been a labor of love and hate since its inception in 2010.  Filmed in 6 days over the summer of 2011, and in post-production hell for 3 years, the film was finally completed in March of 2014.  There were so many times when I wanted to give up and so many points where I was sure I had given up. Luckily, my fear of failure over not finishing my film was much greater than my fear of making a bad film, so I committed and finished it.  Therefore, it is all the more touching to have someone appreciate something into which I put so much blood and sweat (maybe a drop or two of tears).

THANK YOU to everyone!
